Black History Month events slated for February

Throughout February, the College will be hosting a range of events to commemorate Black History Month.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. - The Eroticism of Blackness, hosted by Black Student Union and MAMBA in Reamer 305 (Unity Room)
  • Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. - "The Color Purple" screening at Proctor's Theater, hosted Black Student Union, Minerva Programs Office and Union College Collegiate NAACP Chapter
  • Wednesday, Feb. 12 - "Rush Hour" screening with Asian Student Union and Black Student Union
  • Thursday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. - Sociology and Sandwiches, hosted by the Sociology Club and Black Student Union in Olin 115
  • Wednesday, Feb. 19 - Jazz workshop with Professor Hettie Barnhill
  • Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. - ASA Fashion Show hosted by African Student Association in College Park Hall
  • Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. - Black Excellence Ball, hosted by Black Student Union in the College Park Hall Ballroom
  • Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11 p.m. - Ubuntu Bash
  • Monday, Feb. 24 - Building Bridges: Colorism Panel Discussion
  • Tuesday, Feb. 25 - Black Essence Reamer Takeover
  • Wednesday, Feb. 26 - Durag and Bonnet Decorating
  • Friday, Feb. 28 - Silent Disco with Schaffer Library
